Buffalo tore the NHL season and was one of the league's best teams in October. Victor Olofsson scored six goals and was praised as "Newcomer of the Month". The 24-year-old, who was a shooter king in SHL last year and averaged nearly one point per match in the AHL last year, has grown into the role en route to the NHL.

- When I was sent off it felt a little heavy but looking back I probably needed that year to learn the North American game, it made me more prepared for the NHL this year, says Olofsson, who plays in Buffalo with Frölunda-mate Rasmus Dahlin.
