Victor Lindelöf suffered a back injury in the last session and was over the qualifying match against Malta on away ground to play 90 minutes against Spain instead.

Since then he has played five matches with Manchester United. Last week he was replaced in the league cup against Chelsea after just over an hour.

Manchester Evening News reported at lunchtime that the Swede was not present at the last training session before Manchester United's Europa League meeting with Partizan tomorrow. According to the English tabloid, Lindelöf should be pulled with a back injury. According to Janne Andersson, however, it is a toe.

Reassuring message

The union captain was on the phone with the center-back star on Tuesday, leaving positive messages about his status.

- I don't know what happened since yesterday. But I talked to him yesterday and then there is a toe that he had problems with last week which means he probably can't play on Thursday (Manchester United face Partizan in the Europa League). He told me then, but that is what the club communicates. I'm not a little worried. He is in great physical shape when I talked to him yesterday. I think that hasn't changed much since then, says Janne Andersson.

In addition, Lindelöf may be able to play outside backs during the national team collection. Emil Krafth has rebuffed because he is going to be a father and thus the squad is a short back.

- We have chosen to go on eight backline players. We have five center slopes and three outer slopes. But Victor Lindelöf can also play right back if we need to do something there. I feel we have good coverage there.

The matches against Romania and the Faroe Islands will be played on November 15 and November 18 respectively.
