Gazprom called the condition for a deal with Kiev on gas transit

According to RIA Novosti, the head of Gazprom Alexei Miller discussed this issue with the German government authorized on gas transit through Ukraine, Georg count von Waldersee.

“This means a mutual rejection of claims and the termination of litigation between PJSC Gazprom and NAK Naftogaz Ukrainy on contracts for the supply and transit of Russian gas, restoring the balance of commercial interests of the parties,” the company noted.

Earlier, Russian Minister of Energy Alexander Novak commented on the Ukrainian Naftogaz’s lawsuit against Russian Gazprom for $ 12 billion. He noted that “we need to return to the settlement on the basis of a“ zero ”version of all issues related to court disputes.”

Director of the Bertold Beitz Center at the German Council on Foreign Policy (DGAP) Alexander Rar, in an interview with the FAN, assessed the attitude of Europe towards the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine.
