The 27-year-old has now been sentenced to 8.5 years in prison.
Ghafoor considered herself innocent of the charges, she said in the trial she believed she was carrying doping material. She refused to tell who was behind the transport for fear of family safety.
Madiea Ghafoor ran in the Dutch relay team at 4x400 meters at the 2016 Olympics and was in the final of 400 meters at the European Championships last year.
