Last night, Sunday, 19-year-old Adam Boqvist from Falun made his debut in the NHL when his Chicago met Los Angeles. Then Chicago lost 3–4 after an extension.

The night against Monday was the time for the next milestone in the NHL career - the first goal.

"Obviously, we have been looking forward to scoring the first goal and playing in the NHL," Boqvist told reporters after the match.

- I almost got more nervous after that goal. Of course, it feels good to have the first goal clarified.

Chicago met Anaheim away and Boqvist in the middle of the first period gave his team a 1-0 lead, following a pass from Alexander Nylander.

The 19-year-old is the first Chicago defender born in the 21st century to have scored.

Chicago held the 2-0 lead for the period. But in the second, Anaheim reduced, and then acknowledged in the third. At the end of the regular match time, the score was 2-2. But it only needed 24 seconds of play in the extension for the match to be decided, with Patrick Kane deciding 3-2 to Chicago.

Robin Lehner, who, with the match result, celebrates his hundredth NHL win, saved 38 shots in Chicago's goal.

Adam Boqvist was drafted eighth by Chicago in the first round last year and last season he scored 60 points for Canadian Junior Club London in Ontario's Hockey League (OHL).

In Sweden, he has played youth hockey in Hedemora and played for Brynäs in the SHL season 2017–2018, when he played 18 games.
