Romain Ntamack is the revelation of the year 2019 for the international organization World Rugby. He becomes at 20 the first French to win this award. The opener became junior world champion and champion of France with Toulouse Stadium in the space of a year.

Romain Ntamack, 20-year-old French opener, was voted the revelation of the year by World Rugby, favorite of two World Cup finalists from England and South Africa.

The Stade Toulousain player, son of former international Emile Ntamack, was in competition with English winger Joe Cokanasiga, 21, and South African scrum half Herschel Jantjies, 23. He succeeds South African Aphiwe Dyantyi in the prize list of this award created in 2015, rewarding an international player for less than a year and he is the first French to receive.

Already junior world champion and French champion in one year

World champion under 20 in 2018, Romain Ntamack saw in February the first of his 12 selections with the first team of the XV of France at the tournament of six nations (defeat 24-19 against Wales).
The XV of France stopped at the stage of the quarterfinals in this Mondial-2019, eliminated by the Welsh (20-19).
