MADRID (Reuters) - Real Madrid missed out on a chance to take the top spot in the Primera Liga after failing to beat Real Betis on Saturday in the 11th round of La Liga.
Real could have climbed to the top of the table with a win against Betis, but they had only one point to stay in second place.
The team moved to 22 points in second place on goal difference from leaders Barcelona, who were beaten 3-1 at Levante earlier on Saturday.
Real Betis have 13 points in 14th place.
Eden Hazard scored for the club in the eighth minute, but the referee canceled it for offside after using assistive video.
