Carl-Johan Lerby gave the home team the lead with 3-1 in the middle of the second period and gave Malmö some breathing room. But when Anders Grönlund reduced to 2-3 with just under four minutes left of the second period, it started to look heavy in the home team.

"I would have liked this match to end now," Malmö's coach Peter Andersson told C more at the break.

"Take the war effort with us"

Series leader Frölunda was on for a receipt puck right from the start in the third period. Ryan Lasch, who had previously made Frölunda's reduction goal 2-1, created a couple of dangerous chances for his team.

- So it is when there are even matches. They push us and then we end up on the defensive instead. But we keep them good.

But Malmö found a way to defend himself well and managed to keep up, despite being late in the game playing numerically inferior. The goalkeeper, Lars Volden provided the save, where he stopped Rhett Rakhshani with a qualified save in the absolute final stage of the match.

Second straight victory for Malmö approaching the top-6 team.

- I only look at these two matches we have played now, then we have a new match on Saturday where we will bring the war effort and the winning morale.
