It has been two seasons since Weng struck out with a total victory in the Tour de Ski. The Norwegian has not taken an individual World Cup victory in three seasons. At the World Championships in Seefeld, the star ended up in seventh and 19th place, an unusually weak result. The season ending in Quebec didn't get much better with places 32, 24 and 20.

But now it might start pointing up again.

- I don't think you should expect too much. But I feel that the body is more on the chop. That has been the most important thing to me. How the results will be less important, she tells VG.

- It has been very good since July. I haven't had any heavier episodes. It is a huge success. For me, the last three months have been a victory. Winter has started in my head because the body has worked so well, she continues to the newspaper.

May be over running

Now Weng is also grinding on a new plan. If things go bad, she will be running.

- If it gets heavy, then I think I thank me. Then there will not be so many weekends this winter, she says.

At the same time, the 28-year-old feels that the form is on the way. The World Cup starts with a mini tour in Finland last weekend in November.

- I've started the season much better this year, it's better quality of what I've done. It is more fun to go for a ride. Being away a lot is what I struggle with the most. I have to admit it. I struggle with traveling while training on autopilot.

The winter studio starts the season with the Swedish premiere in Gällivare November 23-24.
