The recent deaths have led to the safety of boxers being called into question.

- I know I can die every time I join the ring, but I take the risk that I love this, Swedish boxer Sven Fornling previously told SVT Sport.

But it is not just the fear of losing life itself that is everyday for the boxers. In an interview with The Sun, star Deontay Wilder says he's also scared to take someone's life.

"I get scared at times because I feel uncontrollable, I've thought about it many, many times," he says according to the magazine.

Wilder has 39 knockouts in 41 games and says his impact is impossible to control, which is dangerous for his opponents.

“I always say that we risk our lives for the sake of others. It is one of the risks you take. Tragedy strikes sometimes but that's what makes it exciting, people know you can die in boxing. "
