FC Barcelona won the lead in La Liga on Tuesday. The Catalans won easily with Frenkie de Jong in-house with ample figures from Real Valladolid: 5-1.
Barcelona only had a hard time with Valladolid in the opening phase. The home club took the lead in the second minute by a goal from Clement Lenglet, but saw the visitors come alongside after fifteen minutes via a goal from Kiko Olivas.
Barça then put things in order. The team of Ernesto Valverde already had a 3-0 lead halfway through goals by Artiro Vidal and Lionel Messi and after 5 minutes they came out to 5-1 thanks to hits by Messi and Luis Suárez again.
De Jong was replaced after just one hour. He had to make way for Ivan Rakitic, who would be in the clear interest of AC Milan, who would like to take him over during the winter break.
Barcelona took over the first place from Granada due to the resounding victory and now has ten points ahead of the surprise of this season in Spain (22 out of 20 points).
Inter narrowly wins with Brescia
Internazionale took the lead in the Serie A. The Milanese narrowly won a visit to PhD student Brescia: 1-2.
Inter initially also seemed to face a simple evening as it was already over 0 hours ahead of a 0-2 lead through goals from Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku.
The team of Antonio Conte then made it unnecessarily difficult. Brescia came back to 1-2 thanks to an own goal by Milan Skriniar, but the 2-2 and with that a stunt did not arrive.
Inter took over the first place from Juventus due to the oppressive victory, but can return to second place on Wednesday if Juve manages to beat Genoa at home.
