Professional baseball Hiroshima Retired in this season Nagakawa and Akamatsu took office as of October 28, 17:16

Mr. Katsuhiro Nagakawa and Mr. Masato Akamatsu, who retired as professional coaches in Hiroshima this season, will be appointed.

The team announced on August 28 that it has signed a coach agreement with Mr. Nagakawa and Mr. Akamatsu.

Nagakawa played an active role as a restraint with a fastball over 150 km from the tall and a fork ball with a head drop, and gave more than 30 saves for three consecutive years since 2007, making 165 saves of the top of the team's history.

Mr. Nagakawa said, “I think it's an honor. I want to give instructions to give up when I am tough, but I want to give it up. I want to be able to become a strong carp.”

On the other hand, Mr. Akamatsu was an outfielder who enjoyed his high speed and defensive skills.

Three years ago, stomach cancer was found immediately after winning the league, and after surgery and anticancer drug treatment, he returned.

Mr. Akamatsu said, “I am worried about a responsible job, but I think it ’s worthwhile. I want to support young players so that they can become full-fledged.”

The new coaching system, including two, will be announced soon.
