“An application for the UEFA Super Cup has been submitted, all the necessary documents have been sent,” RIA Novosti quoted Minister of Sports of Tatarstan Vladimir Leonov as saying.
The match for the UEFA Super Cup is held annually. The winners of the Champions League and Europa League last season meet in it.
Earlier it was reported that UEFA is not discussing the issue of depriving Istanbul of the right to host the Champions League final.
