Real Madrid beat Baxi Manresa by 94-74, in a soulless match in which the locals had serious problems finding motivation and in which Gabriel Deck and Sergio Llull were in charge of pointing the way to victory.

Madrid started the game asleep. In attack, but especially in defense. And that lack of intensity was used by BAXI Manresa to get ahead on the scoreboard, 3-8 (m.2), with a simple, direct and effective basketball.

Only Usman Garuba (17 years old) gave the stature in these initial moments. Almost by inertia, Madrid was approaching on the scoring marker now in Sergio Llull, who with a triple gave Madrid the first advantage, 16-14 (m.6.20). The rebounds were another of the crossings of the premises, finishing the first quarter with 4-12 in the rejections and 27-28 in the scoreboard.

The start of the second act, with a 6-0 kickback in just over a minute, seemed to be the turning point for a low-profile game in which Real Madrid had not just started.

But it was not so and Manresa, with Eulis Báez very hardworking and intoned, accompanied in the annotation by Davis Kravish gave the reply immediately.

With the Argentine connection on the court, Facu Campazzo, Nico Laprovittola and, above all, Gabriel Deck, Madrid began to get their first advantages on the scoreboard. The defense also improved a little, not much, and the forces of the Catalan team players were decreasing.

So, the break came with a 55-44. Many points, little defense and a ramplón basketball. And with Trey Thompkins and Salah Mejri , who are not enrolled in the competition in the band, along with Rudy Fernández and Felipe Reyes. Jeff Taylor was not even in the pavilion.

The low tension on the track and in the stands remained at the beginning of the third quarter, although the franchise on the scoreboard, 59-44 (m.21.30), allowed Madrid to make a journey through calm waters.

The Catalan team neither knew nor could put a Madrid into trouble again in which Laso, with his shouts in the band, was trying to get into a defensive path. Deck showed again that he is one of the most fit Madrid players right now and the third quarter ended with 76-59.

With Mario Nakic (18 years old) on the track, by Real Madrid, and a Manresa resigned to his fate and without the ability to react, the game continued to languish.

Madrid ended up winning a soulless match by 94-74, but it was almost by inertia.
