Brage lost - then Varberg and Mjällby cheer

There is a lot of talk about how even the all-Swedish gold fight is.

But even in the superette, it is even and exciting at the top. Before the final round, Varberg and Mjällby topped 53 points, ahead of Brage with 51.

Thus, Brage was forced to win against Halmstad today, not to depend on Varberg and Brage losing their matches later this round.

But just then it became. Despite the team tearing up the match at Örjans Vall, and scoring two goals in less than two minutes barely halfway into the first half, it lost.

Just over ten minutes later, Halmstad scored two goals in about the same time frame.

And it got even worse. In the second half, Halmstad dominated overall, and in the 90th minute came a victory goal. From the midfield, a long ball was struck up to veteran Andreas Johansson far down on the right. He recorded the ball in the penalty area, where Mikael Boman appeared and put 3–2.

With the result, Varberg can secure universal progress in a couple of hours. If they win away to the bottom team Bromma boys tonight (start 17.30) then they are ready for the highest series. The same goes for Mjällby, if they win against the last Syrian, their all-Swedish place remains.
