By the sum of the short and free programs, Trusova received 241.02 points from the judges, ahead of the Japanese representative Rika Kihira (230.33 points). The South Korean figure skater Yu Young (217.49 points) became the bronze medalist of the stage.
Two-time world champion Evgenia Medvedev with the result of 209.62 points finished fifth. Another Russian woman, Serafima Sakhanovich (175.97 points), took the final eighth place.
