Zlatan Ibrahimovic turned 38 in October and is on a contract with LA Galaxy.

So when the team today left the MLS playoffs after 3-5 in the quarterfinals against local rival Los Angeles FC, it was understandable that the striker's future was disastrous.

- I have two months to decide on the future. It's not about money from Galaxy or MLS. What happens next year I do not know, we will see, said Zlatan according to Expressen after the match.

SVT Sports expert Daniel Nannskog thinks it will be a continuation in the US for him.

- I would like to see him closer, in a better league in Europe. But I think he'll eventually land with a new contract in LA, if I'm going to guess anything now. I don't think he's done with the league. I think he wants a title and a shooter victory. It is certainly a very comfortable life in Los Angeles and maybe the family may be a little more left in such a city too, says Nannskog.

"He had made a difference"

You don't think he's quitting?

- When I see Zlatan play I still see a hunger and that he is contributing something huge on the pitch. Those components make me not think he sees himself as the end. It has not begun to decline for Zlatan to the extent that he wants to quit. But with him you never know.

Most recently, Naples has been clear that they would like to recruit the 38-year-old. The club's president Aurelio De Laurentiis has also told us that talks have been held with the Swede.

- Of course I would have liked to see him in the Italian league. If I think so? Well, I do not know. In and of itself he is not afraid of any challenges, but at the same time he will go there he will go there to lead them to a championship. He doesn't go anywhere just to play in Serie A. Zlatan has already won that league and shown who he is there. It will be a huge investment from the club that takes him in that case. He has won everything except the Champions League. Should Naples become the next destination, it does not feel like a team challenging a CL title in the near future.

Had a 38-year-old Zlatan made a difference in a top club in Europe?

- Yes, I really think so. There may be some who doubt it, I don't. Looking at his strength in the penalty area and his movement patterns, I have no doubt that he made a difference. Then I also understand that it is good much better defend in the top leagues in Europe, but in the way he scores goals he would do in Europe as well. I am absolutely convinced of that.
