It didn't take long for the reigning champions to take the lead in the final rally from last spring. Already after just under seven minutes, Mats Rosseli Olsen was able to steer 1-0, and Djurgården started a hunt for a receipt.

And it would be an intense hunt. The Stockholm team pressed hard, especially in the second period when Djurgården won the shots with a full 15-3. But ice hockey is about scoring goals, and that's what Frölunda did. Despite the game takeover from Djurgården, it was Frölunda who was awarded when Johan Sundström extended the lead to 2-0 in powerplay.

In the end, however, the home press would receive a dividend. With two minutes left of the second period, Linus Hultström Djurgården gave hope for the third period.

Djurgården caught up

The third period was far from as unilateral in terms of play as the other. But the clock would still strike Hovet once more. Michael Haga, who had hit the goal frame earlier in the match, was given another chance when he showed a speed skating test in a game reversal where he could safely acknowledge the match.

The match was then extended. There Frölunda parked in Djurgården's zone for two and a half minutes, thanks in large part to a powerplay. But even though there was no dividend there, Frölunda continued to push, and in the end also came the dividend when Jacob Moverare with a rocket sprinkled 3-2 in the cross.

- That was nice. I felt that it was a bit my fault on the 2-2 goal, so it was nice to revanchize. It was a tour, Moverare tells C More.
