A draw 1-1 against Vittsjö meant secured SM gold for Rosengård and at Malmö IP appeared both tears of happiness, gold hats and a big hug party for the home crowd.

Just as it should be at an SM gold celebration, and the question was whether the victory did not feel particularly strong for the team considering last year's dramatic finish, where Rosengård got to see the origins of both Piteå and Gothenburg at one and the same time.

- We decided from last year that we would tie our fists and start over. Everyone has done a great job. It is so wonderful that it is done, that it is finished that we did not have to keep it for another week, says a relieved Caroline Seger to SVT.

Although Sports Manager Therese Sjögran was noticeably relieved after the match, disappointing tears had been replaced by tears of joy.

- It's an enormous relief. It's almost hard to feel things right now. So nice that we can handle it after everything that happened last year, we really reloaded.

What is it that makes you successful?

- We have done a lot right this year, we have been constant and made good acquisitions. A broad squad that has performed at a high level, a lot is true this year, says Sjögran.

For 34-year-old Seger, the SM gold is her fourth in her career and the first since she was recruited to Rosengård from Lyon in the summer of 2017. When asked if the veteran will win for the European game waiting, she answers with a smile:

- I hope so.
