Barcelona seem to be in a major financial crisis, with debts piling up to more than 260 million euros.

Brazilian Felipe Coutinho is the most notable deal that has strained Barcelona's treasury and has yielded no return.

The Spanish newspaper "AS" that Barcelona owes Bayern Munich about 11 million euros for the deal Chilean striker Arturo Vidal, and 30 million euros for French club Bordeaux.

The Blaugrana owes Brazil's Gremio around 28 million euros, Atletico Mineiro of Brazil 12 million euros, and his compatriot Valencia with more than 31 million euros.

Due to his recent deal with De Jong, his debts to Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam amounted to more than 48 million euros, in addition to debts in small amounts to the Spanish club Valladolid, Belgian Jubin and Bayer Leverkusen.
