The Spanish Football Federation announced in a press statement yesterday, the official postponement of the summit match between Barcelona and Real Madrid in the Primera Liga, which was scheduled for 26 this month.

The league demanded earlier this week to review the venue and date of the match because of protests and political tension in Catalonia after the imprisonment of nine separatist leaders. The Spanish newspaper «AS» has indicated yesterday, that the deadline for this match will be set next Monday, after receiving the proposals of Real Madrid and Barcelona, as well as the league «La Liga». The federation had previously proposed the match on December 18, but the league rejected and supported the idea of the match on the seventh of the same month, while Barcelona and Real did not decide on the last proposal, which called for the postponement of the meeting until tomorrow.
