Defender Mohammed Saif led Al Dhafra to a precious 1-0 win at home to Ajman in a meeting that took place today at the Hamdan Bin Zayed Stadium in the fourth round of the Arabian Gulf Football League.

Saif scored the only goal of the match in the 86th minute to lead his team to the seventh point while Ajman froze at 6.

Al Dhafra played with 10 men since the 30th minute after fellow striker Joao Pedro was awarded the red card after a fierce intervention with Ajman defender Hamed Doumbia.

Mohammed Saif's goal ended his team's longest spell in the Arab Gulf League.

Faris Al Dhafra's last win was for the 2013/14 season when the team scored a 3-0 victory in the 14th round match, and since then did not taste the three points in eight consecutive games.
