In August, Fifa announced that Saman Ghoddos will be suspended from all games for four months and that Östersunds FK will be prohibited from recruiting players in two transfer windows following Ghoddo's messy move from the Swedish club last summer. Fifa considered that Östersund had acted incorrectly in connection with the transition.

The club appealed the decision to CAS, the sports arbitration court.

Today, the message came that CAS pauses the transfer ban pending that they will try ÖFK's appeal.

"This decision means that we can now start planning for the next season and the transfer window that opens in January," coach Ian Burchnall told the club's website.
