Sailboat bearings will start heading to Delma Island today in preparation for the third edition of the Delma Race Festival, which is scheduled for next Tuesday, in agreement with the National Center for Meteorology. Participating bearings are subjected to a thorough technical inspection, to ensure that everyone adheres to technical specifications and measurements for the category of 60 feet.

The organizing committee announced the final number of participants in the race after closing the registration door, where the number reached 119 sailors, with a total of sailors approaching 3000 sailors. On the other hand, the activities of the Heritage Village of the third Dalma Race Festival were opened yesterday, on the seashore of Delma Island, which extends its activities and events until the 23rd of this year and opens daily for more than 12 hours.

The opening ceremony was attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Kiteboard Committee and Emirates Rowing and Surfing Committee, and Ahmed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Sailing and Yacht Club.

The attendees toured the activities and activities of the village in its new form, which has been increased to 12,500 square meters in an effort to participate as many guests as possible. The village is full of events that serve the whole family as well as sports youth.

The Supreme Organizing Committee also decided to increase the number of cars allocated to the winners, from three for the top three to five for the top five, in addition to the financial prizes received by the owner of each center.

The champion receives AED 1.5 million and car, the runner-up AED 1.1 million and the third, and AED 900 thousand and cars, and the prize money for participants in the race is AED 25 million, the highest prize in the history of maritime racing ever.
