Juventus have made huge profits from signing Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid in the summer of 2018, according to Italian reports.

The Italian sports daily La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Juventus had made a profit of 58 million euros from the deal, most of which came from the sale of one million shirts of the team bearing the name and number of Ronaldo.

Juventus signed the Portuguese international striker for 113 million euros, to be the most expensive player in the history of the old lady.

The report also said that the club's social media pages saw a 68% growth in followers after Ronaldo's move to the team, and that the number of fans around the world increased from 385 million to 423 million.

Since joining Juventus, Ronaldo has scored 24 goals in 37 Serie A matches.
