Sweden was on the verge of a huge sensation when Rodrigo struck in extra time and organized 1-1. Right then and there Romania also went over Sweden in the table as they led towards Norway. This had meant that Romanian victory against Sweden in the next round, Romania would be clear for the European Championship - and Sweden lost in the group.

- The information I had was that Romania led when the match ended, says Janne Andersson and continues:

- "The Christmas tree" was out and asked if we would go for it and then I said "no, no, we calm down a bit".

Now Alexander Sörloth acknowledged late against Romania, which meant that this round, where Sweden had tougher opposition than Romania, ended with unchanged table position on the second European Championship.

- I'm happy with today's results in that way, says Janne Andersson.

In the next round Sweden and Romania will meet before Blågult finishes against the Faroe Islands. And given that the closing game is a relatively simple match, Janne Andersson's national team can go for a draw in Romania just to keep them behind. But he does not intend to do that.

- It is much better that crosses are enough but we will prepare to win the match. I don't believe in that, Andersson says, referring to the fact that he can't go in to play a draw:

- You have to prepare in advance to win a match.
