  • Sixth title: Mercedes and the tyranny of 75%

Lewis Hamilton's crooked gesture on the Japan GP podium did not go unnoticed in the F1 paddock . The World Cup leader, who can stick his sixth world crown in Mexico on October 27, seemed very upset with Mercedes' strategy with the tires. On his way home, the Briton does not seem to have digested the displeasure yet and on Tuesday morning he published a devastating message showing his outrage at the situation on the planet.

"I feel sad about how the world is. The extinction of our race seems increasingly likely and in the meantime we exploit our resources excessively," said the world champion in his Instagram post.

Hamilton's commitment to the vegan world was revealed last September, when he launched his first vegan burger restaurant. "The world is a disaster. The world leaders are either uneducated, or they don't care about the environment," says the Stevenage pilot, who for years gave up meat consumption.

"They have lied to us"

Hamilton's activism has raised some blisters among some adversaries. A month ago, Romain Grosjean (Haas) was blunt when asked about the benefits of this type of diet. "If you are an athlete, veganism is really negative. For me it is not an option," said the Frenchman.

Completely oblivious to these comments, Hamilton continues to think that meat consumption is the product of a bad education. "They have lied to us for hundreds of years," the Mercedes leader now concludes. "Farms are the biggest harmful agent. They pollute more than 50% of the total sum of the transport industry," he adds.

"Become vegan. It is the only way to save our planet," proclaims the pilot who aspires to match the legendary record of Michael Schumacher. His proclamations, with an unquestionable political burden, end with a sorry message. "Honestly, I feel like finishing everything completely and leaving everything," he concludes.
