HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, Chairman of the National Olympic Committee and Chairman of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Sports Innovation, opened yesterday the Dubai Sports Conference and Exhibition for Artificial Intelligence, organized by the Dubai Sports Council. Under the slogan «Together we make the future of sport», at the Dubai World Trade Center.

HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum toured the event, which features 52 platforms from the world's leading technology and sports companies representing 36 countries, showcasing their latest technological innovations using artificial intelligence in sports.

Accompanied by Dubai Sports Council Vice-President Matar Al Tayer, His Highness honored ministers, scientists and world champions from the keynote speakers: Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence Omar Bin Sultan Al Ulama, Minister of Technology of the Republic of Armenia Hakub Archakian, the world's most famous robot maker, founder and president Boston Dynamics CEO Mark Raybert, EU Artificial Intelligence Chief Professor Christian Gutman, World Mountaineering Champion Vika Gustafson, Jujitsu World Champion Regen Machado, President, International Federation of Electronic Sports The intention of Colin Webster, world wheelchair champion Stefan Audi.

The opening ceremony was attended by HH Sheikh Hasher Bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Tennis Federation, First Vice President of the National Olympic Committee Hamid Al Qatami, Secretary General of the Executive Council of Dubai Abdullah Al Basti, Commander in Chief of Dubai Police Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Director General of Dubai Municipality Dawood Al Hajri Board of Directors Director General of Dubai Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) Dr. Abdullah Al Karam, Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council Saeed Hareb, General Secretaries of Sports Councils in the UAE, Board of Directors of Dubai Sports Council and a number of heads of local, continental and international sports federations.

The first day of the conference witnessed five sessions. Julian Gold, Mayor and Municipal Councilor of Beverly Hills, and Chen Zuhe, director-general of the Chinese city of Jinguo, who reviewed the experience of their cities in the development and innovation of artificial intelligence technology and use in various areas of life, especially in the sports.

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane also spoke at the special session of the conference, entitled 'Stars and their vision for the future of sport', and was participated in the dialogue Vika Gustafson world champion in mountaineering who reviewed the future of challenge sports, also spoke at the meeting Stefan Audi world wheelchair champion who discussed the future of people of determination with artificial intelligence.

Omar Sultan Al Ulama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, gave a presentation on the UAE's experience in applying artificial intelligence in various fields of life during the third session titled “Prospecting Artificial Sports Intelligence”.

For his part, the Minister of Technology of the Republic of Armenia, Hagop Archakian, reviewed Armenia's experience with artificial intelligence.

Christian Gutman and Mark Ribert outlined their plans to produce highly sophisticated robots that could be used in sports. Christian Gutman, one of the world's best artificial intelligence, machine learning and data science scientists, said they plan to build robots that can beat the best human sports teams in football such as Real Madrid and Barcelona in 2050.

Professor Mark Riebert, the world's most famous robot maker and founder and CEO of Boston Dynamics, which leads the global robotics industry, said he plans to build a robot that can play ping-pong and beat the world champions in the sport, during the session entitled “Foresight Intelligence”. Speaking at the fourth session, Dallas Mavericks president Donnie Nelson spoke about the Dallas Mavericks basketball experience. Darkhan Aker, Chief Technology Officer and Board Member of Galatasaray Club, also reviewed the club's experience in the application of artificial intelligence.

Brian Balcombe, executive director of self-driving racing, Robo Reyes, also talked about modern sports, with Saki Tasodis, general manager of SABB, the German electronics company.
