Gothenburg needed to win against Piteå in order not to lose the battle for gold already on Saturday. Rosengård still looked pretty early to put the champagne on cooling. After Piteå got a goal sentenced for offside, Gothenburg was concentrated and clinical going forward.
Emma Koivistu's low post was placed 1-0 by Julia Zigiotti Olme after half an hour. Ten minutes later Pauline Hammarlund was given a similar position.
