It was in a lengthy interview with Expressen that was published Tuesday that Zlatan Ibrahimovic went on a fierce attack on Janne Andersson and criticized him and the rest of the national team for the lack of players with foreign background in their first troops.

- First, nobody with a different background was included. Then he got the question, then he moaned. Then it comes with more. Then he will destroy what I have built up for 20 years. If it is something he stands for, then he should stand for it and not change for a question to come up. Not because you get dirty by the media, said Ibrahimovic.

"He may think what he wants"

Janne Andersson responded to the criticism of Expressen and disagreed, but otherwise none of the national team leaders commented on the play. But in conjunction with Thursday's training, Assistant Federal Captain Peter Wettergren lined up for an interview.

- He has to think and think what he wants. We cannot control that. I don't get it. I know how Janne thinks and we have had discussions all the time. We have always thought about taking out the 23 players who have the greatest chance of winning the match for us, regardless of their provenance, says Wettergren.

He believes that he and Janne Andersson were given back after the Zlatan interview.

- I have received many text messages and Janne has received many text messages from players we had with immigrant background who do not understand anything of what he says. In that we are secure in ourselves and for us that discussion is over there.
