32-year-old Murray was thanked during this year's edition of the Australian Open when he went out in the first round. He then performed a hip operation. In June, he made a comeback, then a double, when he won a double tournament. and made a single comeback on the tennis court in conjunction with the Cincinnati Masters tournament, which was decided in August.
Murray is currently playing in the Shanghai Masters, where he has moved on to the second round. Last week he reached the quarterfinals in Beijing, but lost to Austrian Dominic Thiem.
Murray has placed second in the Australian Open five times.
