The Netherlands goes to the final! It was close, but Italy ends with 3.27.57 just behind the Netherlands, which is eighth in the final. A very good achievement by the Dutch women!

The second heat is about to begin. Again: in this heat there can only be four teams faster than 3.27.40.

We have to wait a moment for the second heat, which starts in a few minutes. Because the Netherlands did not finish in the first three, it must be hoped that it is among the two fastest times. In the other heat, the United States, Great Britain and Cuba will start.

The Netherlands does not immediately qualify for the final and has to wait and see if the time (3.27.40) is enough for the final. Jamaica wins the series, Poland second and Canada third.

Nadine Visser qualifies for the semi-finals of the 100 meter hurdles. She finishes third in her heat and that is enough for a semi-final spot. With 12.75 she sets an excellent time: it is only four hundredths above her own Dutch record.

Visser wants peaks in the final
Nadine Visser is going to be in the 100 meters in a row this weekend in Doha for the second World Cup final in a row, but according to herself she may not be satisfied. Unlike two years ago in London, the hordeloopster wants the final race to be her best race. "I was terribly happy and relieved in London when the final place was in," says Visser, who at the time had tears of joy. "That was nice, but it also cost me energy and that is not allowed. I do it for nothing less than the final, but then I also want to peak in that final. And that is possible. I am further than in 2017."
