On the ninth day of the World Championships athletics in Doha, Sifan Hassan will go for 1,500 meters on Saturday for her second gold medal. In addition, the relay men hope to make it to the podium at the 4x100 meter.

Hassan previously captured this World Cup in the 10,000 meters world title and now she can become the first Dutch ever with two gold medals in one World Cup. Moreover, no one has ever managed to win the world title at both the 1,500 meters and 10,000 meters.

The 26-year-old Hassan was also able to walk the 5,000 meters, but the 1,500 meters is her favorite distance. The most important competitors in the battle for gold are the Kenyan Faith Kipyegon and the British Laura Muir.

The relay men are also waiting for a World Cup final, but they are no more than an outsider in the 4x100 meter. It would be wonderful for 35-year-old Churandy Martina to take his first medal at the age of eight and last. The Dutch formation, which ran seventh in the series, also consists of Joris van Gool , Taymir Burnet and Chris Garia .

The Netherlands is also represented in the women's 4x400 meter relay series. The Orange formation consists of Lieke Klaver , Lisanne de Witte , Bianca Baak and Femke Bol .

Nadine Visser in the series of the 100-meter hurdles is the tenth Dutchman to play on Saturday at the Khalifa International Stadium. It should not be a problem for the players from North Holland to advance to the semi-finals.

It is an hour later in Doha than in the Netherlands. The Dutch times are shown in this program.
