After ten runs, the top four drivers are all within 8.4 seconds - including all three lost in the drivers' championship, Tänak, Ogier and Neuville.

It was extremely harsh conditions during Friday but muddy and rain-soaked stretches. Several drivers had problems and were forced to break through for defenses including Esapekka Lappi and Jari-Matti Latvala who were in top contention when he crashed.

Pontus Tidemand doing his second gravel rally in the WRC had a brave morning and was not completely satisfied with the settings on the car halfway through the day. After adjustments to service, the feeling was a little better during the afternoon and Tidemand is in ninth place

Tom Kristensson can secure the gold in the Junior World Cup this weekend. He took a few stretch wins during Friday but is second in the total, 16.3 seconds after Spaniard Jan Solans.

Kristensson has to defeat Solans this weekend to secure the championship title. Unfortunately, Dennis Rådström was forced to break for the day after a three-way trip.
