- The reason is that, after a lengthy investigation, a coach has been deemed inappropriate in his leadership of us. We have issued a recommendation and it has been communicated by the association since January by us. The association has chosen not to follow that recommendation, says Pia Josephson acting general secretary to SVT Sport.

- This is all about safe sports environments for children and young people.

What kind of inappropriate behavior?

- There are bouts, punishments, comments about body weight and calls for limited energy intake.

The High Coast has three weeks to appeal the decision to the National Sports Commission and during that time the club are full members of the union.

What happens if the appeal is closed?

- The bottom line is that you do not belong to any special sports association which is a prerequisite for being a sports association.

The events are prescribed

How long has this been going on?

- We received the first signals in 2016. Then investigations were started by our legal committee, where the reports went from the beginning, but then the events were restricted since the police report, but it was closed down.

- Then we met relevant actors and then we also did an external, independent review by a legitimate psychologist. The sum of all these processes led to our recommendation, which was made in January.

Why has it taken so long?

- We know that the issue has taken a long time to act and we know that. We have worked on the systems that sports has and it takes quite a long time.
