Håland, who made his international breakthrough with three goals in the CL premiere against Genk two weeks ago, suffered from lung problems and sought out doctors in Salzburg on Monday.
- I was in the hospital two days ago and I'm really glad I was able to play for half an hour. You can't imagine how happy I am that I got the chance to start on the bench, ”says Håland to Norwegian VG.
After just three minutes on the pitch, the 19-year-old stayed ahead and broadened to 3-3 and had completed a 0-3 pickup. That didn't happen but Mohamed Salah made the final score 4-3 for Liverpool ten minutes later.
Håland had a long outline for the assembled press around his thoughts:
- You can only imagine that a 19-year-old from Bryne had lung problems a week just days before a match against Liverpool at Anfield. You can only imagine what's going on in his head. I wanted to train but couldn't do it. I was lying in bed with my thoughts, says Håland who had had lung problems before.
When he went from Bryne to Molde 2017 there were also problems with the lungs.
