Director Hideki Kuriyama, who finished fifth in the season with professional baseball and Nippon Ham, discussed the departure with Koji Kawamura's president on the 30th, but no conclusion was reached.

On the 30th, Kuriyama, the manager who led the team, talked with the president of the Kawamura team for one hour at the team office in Toyohira-ku, Sapporo.
After the discussion, Kuriyama said, “I apologized to the president that I am responsible for the results of this season. It ’s not up to me to decide how to take responsibility,” entrusting his departure to the team. I made it clear.
On the other hand, President Kawamura said, “The most important thing is whether or not the team can roll back next season, so Kuriyama told us to clarify the measures based on the challenges and problems this season.”
He said, “I want to determine who is suitable for the director based on the countermeasures,” and expressed the idea of determining who the director of the next season should be requested.
On October 2nd, Kuriyama will report the end of the season in Tokyo.
