A court in Sao Paulo has rejected the charge of supermodel Nagila Trindade of false communication and extortion of Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar da Silva for raping her, local media reported.

The 31st Fraud Court in Sao Paulo made the decision, which was seen by the news website UO, but retained its accusation of fraud against the supermodel who claims to have been raped by the Brazilian star in May in a Paris hotel.

The Ministry of Public Prosecutions will have an appeal against the court decision, while Trindade and her ex-husband, Stephen Alves, have 10 days to file a written defense against their fraud charges.
