During the first ten minutes of the match, almost no derby mood was noticed at Gamla Ullevi. The blue-white heel protested against harsher demands from the police and stood outside its stands. The heel of the hedge was silent in solidarity. Only when the clock ticked over ten minutes did the home bell step in - and it was done with songs, banners, flags, smoke bombs and Bengals.

In the football match, Gothenburg led the game during most of the match. Most dangerous was the closing minutes of the first half. Then Hosam Aiesh first hit the bar after Peter Abrahamsson steered away the ball at the last second. Just a minute later, Giorgi Charaishvvili hit the same rib with a rock hard free kick. But no goals.

Complained loudly

It was a match where referee Bojan Pandzic and several of his decisions came into focus.

Charaishvili was drawn down by Godswill Ekpolo in the penalty area, but received no penalty in the first half.

The hedge and away heels felt divided when Daleho Irandust came off the center field and was dropped by Kristopher Da Graca. Irandust got the advantage and Häcken ended the attack - but complained loudly when Da Graca only got yellow and not red card.

Other situations were when Hosam Aiesh met Rasmus Lindgren's outstretched arm and when Lasse Vibe was felled by Emil Berggren. No punishment on any of those occasions.

Have the chance

And when the home team's Adil Titi slid Godswill Ekpolo at midfield, the Heckens players again wanted more than just a yellow card on Titi. They did not.

The result 0-0 means that in theory both Häcken and IFK Gothenburg still have a chance of reaching a European place next year, but the distance to the absolute top is great.
