In Smålandsderbyt between Växjö and Oskarshamn, away team Oskar Nilsson was tackled by Brendan Shinnimin. After lying on the ice, Nilsson was brought out by doctors while Shinnimin received a match penalty.

Now Nilsson has spoken out for the first time since the injury.

- I'm so disappointed and surprised at myself that I don't see Shinnimin. My first concussion in my career, he tells Sportbladet.

Nilsson sustained several injuries that will keep him away for six weeks.

Defends Shinnimin

- I've had a powerful concussion. My first career. Then both lungs are punctured and there is blood in them. Then, with great certainty, the ribs are off, at least partially off. They can't really see it on the X-ray, but doctors think they are off anyway.

Nilsson, however, does not want to judge Shinnimin too harshly.

- I don't want to be too tough against the Växjö player. He has behaved humbly afterwards, broke down and sent a text message to me.
