Part of a grandstand in Nice will be closed for a match of L1 and Marseille will be deprived of supporters for an outside meeting, decided on Wednesday the Disciplinary Committee of the Professional Football League (LFP). She sanctioned songs of supporters deemed discriminating.
Concerning Nice, "banners and discriminatory remarks" were in question during the match of the third day, August 28, between OGC Nice and Olympique de Marseille which had been briefly interrupted by the referee. For OM, songs heard during the clash with Monaco on September 15th (5th day) were also deemed discriminatory by the LFP. As a result, the "upper part of the southern stand" of the Allianz Riviera of Nice will be closed for a firm match, while for the Marseillais, it will be "the visitors park" which will be closed during a future trip of OM.
A tribune of Nancy in reprieve
In Ligue 2, the Piantoni stand in Nancy is under closure for two suspended matches, after similar songs during the Nancy-Rodez match of August 30, 2019 (day 6). This stand has already been closed for one match this season after homophobic tribulations in the stands, which led to a brief interruption of the match against Le Mans on August 16th.

This interruption was a first in France, while the LFP and Sports Minister Roxana Maracineanu decided to fight more actively against homophobia and all other forms of discrimination.
