Before the meeting with Örebro, Östersund had only two points down to Falkenberg in qualifying, and with nine straight matches without victory and five straight losses, the team was in search of a much needed third.

But despite a big game takeover, and a takeover in the number of goal chances, the redeeming goal never came. At least not in the right case.

After 61 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defense allowed Örebro to get through. There was the Östersundsback Kalpi Wilfried Ouattara, who accidentally kicked the ball into his own goal.

After the cold shower, Östersund had some chances, but never managed to score on the right half. Instead, Örebro managed to extend the lead on a turn around where Martin Broberg played forward to Agon Mehmeti, and the sixth straight loss for Östersund was a fact.
