It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the words of the head of the IAAF working group on the restoration of the VFLA Rune Andersen.

The APFLA was suspended by the IAAF in November 2015 following an investigation by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). Since then, Russian athletes have been forced to appear in neutral status.

Debt payment of $ 3.22 million was one of the requirements for the restoration of VFLA. Nevertheless, on September 23, the IAAF Congress decided to extend the suspension of the Russian organization.

Earlier, VFLA head Dmitry Shlyakhtin reacted to the IAAF's decision to extend the suspension.
