For four seasons in a row, SDE has been forced to qualify for the highest series.

But ahead of the new season, they have been investing hard, and have acquired Kelty Apperson, Kelly Murray and Lindsey Post from Calgary Inferno who won the North American League CWHL last season.

SDE started well

It quickly yielded results, and the team won the first three league matches - including against last season's SM finalist Linköping.

But today their suite had an abrupt end.

SDE did start well, but the longer the match went, the more Luleå took over. With only 33 seconds left of the second period, so zero was broken when Petra Nieminen in powerplay finished with a direct shot from the right drawing circle - a shot that Lindsey Post could not stop.

Jensen used the surface

In the final period, it was Luleå for almost the whole slant, and with just under five minutes left, Luleå could again use a numerical superiority. Nicoline Jensen got a lot of space in the castle, aimed and put in 2-0.

And just under two minutes later, the nail came into the coffin, when Noora Tulus boldly turned the puck at the right edge, advanced into the offensive zone, pulled the goalkeeper and loaded the puck with a backhand.

As a result, Luleå's great goalkeeper Sara Grahn kept zero for the second time. She played in yesterday's loss machine against AIK (1-2), and thus has not scored a goal yet this season.
