Felix Rosenqvist has had a great first season in IndyCar. Ahead of this weekend's final at Laguna Seca, the Swede leads the fight for the coveted title of this year's newcomer. But that title is slipping Rosenqvist out of his hands. After a miss in a curve from the Swede that led to an involuntary spin on the track, he was severely punished. The judges considered Rosenqvist had blocked James Hinchcliffe and the Swedish IndyCar driver will be allowed to stay far behind in the field.

What may be particularly disturbing in this context is that Rosenqvist's worst competitor in the fight for the title of this year's newcomer, Colton Herta, took pole position ahead of the IndyCar final at Laguna Seca, where double points are awarded.

- Shocked and disappointed by IndyCar's decision. Someone must really hate me there, Rosenqvist writes on social media.

With the decision of the judges, Rosenqvist got rid of his best and second best time in the qualifying, times that had reached a pole position.

But Rosenqvist has not lost hope:

- Time to forget and move on. Starting from fourteenth place tomorrow, we are fast, now we drive, writes the Swede on social media.
