"Your brother bought a good book, and then you come with a Porsche Cayenne"
"When I won Roland-Garros, my phone was in the directory!" Recalls Yannick Noah. "I remember very well my relationship with the girls before I win, it was not the same, I was shy, I swam like it's not possible, there had to be a slow dream and that the girl would come to me or else I would not be able to, and then, suddenly, there was more attention ... I was appreciated differently ... "
This sudden evolution requires, according to the champion, to "be accompanied". Generalizing his remarks to the young sportsmen whose career takes off suddenly, he unrolls: "When you have earned a little money, and that for the birthday of your father, your brother has bought a good book, and then you come to you with a Porsche Cayenne .... "There are a lot of things to do in terms of psychological support, not just players, but in training coaches, coaching parents," said Yannick Noah. Returning to tennis, the former player illustrates: "It's not easy to leave your kid or your daughter, at 12, with a coach who knows how to teach you to run, make a forehand, setback, make Pumps and abs ... But when you finish the training, you have a lot of time, and this time when you are even it is precious, it is there that you forge you and it is there that you become a champion."
