The winner's skull Olof Mellberg is also a winner in his new club Helsingborg, which he took over in early September after departing Henrik Larsson.

The victory against AFC Eskilstuna (2–1) also puts much needed distance between the Skånelaget and the bottom trio Falkenberg, AFC and Sundsvall.

- Falkenberg won yesterday (Saturday) so it was extremely important to regain momentum. We don't make a great match so nice to get away with three points, says Markus Holgersson to C More after the victory.

Holgersson had a lead role in the match. It was he who lost the nick duel when Samuel Nnamani acknowledged to 1-1 in the second half. But ten minutes later, he revenged himself by setting the decisive 2-1 goal - even that on a nick.

The goal was the defender's first in this year's Swedish.

- It was nice and I'm glad we take three important points, says Holgersson.

A final run AFC Eskilstuna did not manage to rise during the closing half hour of the match. The team has now played six games in a row without victory.

- It's incredibly heavy. A smooth match with a lot of cowardice. Unfortunately we do not succeed this time, says Eskilstuna's Jesper Björkman.

For Helsingborg, Skånederby awaits Malmö in the next round.

- It will be fun, says Mellberg.
