Rosenqvist thus had a tough starting position. He was severely punished for an involuntary spin on the track during qualifying, and was forced to start far behind in the field, at 14th place.
But Rosenqvist worked his way up the field, eventually taking fifth place, which was enough to win the title as the best newcomer of the year. This was his sixth top 4 ranking for the season. Marcus Ericsson was six for a while, but ended up in eleventh place.
Colton Herta won the race ahead of Will Power and Scott Dixon, and Josef Newarden won the total after finishing eight in tonight's contest.
Felix Rosenqvist finished overall in sixth place in the summary.
