Ferrari has been weak on city lines this year, but today there was no doubt which stall found the speed in Singapore.

Charles Leclerc went for his third straight victory at the F1 circus, but he was going to be challenged - by his stable mate Sebastian Vettel.

Leclerc looked able to control the race, but when Vettel took over the lead from the 21-year-old after a depot stop, the fight for victory was decided. A team decision forced Leclerc into second place and despite protests from Leclerc himself, he remained in second place, a position that was never really threatened.

- It's always tough to lose that way, but it's good for the team. We came here and aimed at a pallet site and come from here with a double. But it's clear that it's boring for me personally, Leclerc said in Viasat's broadcast.

Vettel, for his part, took his first win of the season.

- The start of the season has been tough, but I think we have come to life in recent weeks, says Vettel in Viasat.

The victors of the last two years, Lewis Hamilton, had to settle for a fourth place behind Max Verstappen.
