“Having studied the submitted documents, the committee came to the conclusion that it was impossible to apply the exception for the football player A. Kokorin, since, due to known circumstances, he did not have the actual and legal ability to start working in the club until the deadline for submitting the appropriate set of documents to the Committee (16 September 2019), ”the committee on the status of players on the official website of the RFU said in a statement.

It is noted that the player will be able to be declared in the next registration period.

At the same time, the statement says that the RFU made this decision to show the equality of all participants in the championship and to maintain a uniform approach to the application of the norms.

Recall that the player signed a contract with Zenit, calculated before the end of the current season with the possibility of extension.

Kokorin received 1.5 years in prison for participating in several brawls in central Moscow in October 2018. On September 17, 2019, the athlete left EC No 4 in the Belgorod Region on parole.

Earlier, Zenit head coach Sergei Semak said that Zenit was denied registration of Kokorin.
